Frequently asked questions

1. Are there any fees or costs associated with becoming hauler?

There is no sign up fee or cost associated with becoming a National Van Lines hauler.

2. How often will I get access to the available tonnage list?

The available tonnage list is sent out several times each day.

3. How long does it take to get approved after I have finished my certification?

On average, you will begin receiving the available tonnage list within 2-4 business days after completing your certification. 

4. Who should I contact if I have issues, questions or concerns about packing weight variances or access?

Email the National Van Lines Operations department at NVL_Ops@NationalVanLines.com with any questions or concerns

5. What if I work with a Factoring Company?

National Van Lines does NOT communicate with Factoring Companies. This will be your responsibility. 

6. How do I get paid?

In order to be paid properly you must submit:
  • Booker’s Bill of Lading.
  • Accessorial Services Form (806/Packing Report) at origin or destination (if applicable).
  • Inventory, original delivery inventory signed by the customer on residence deliveries.
  • Riders prepared at the time of shipment transfer.
  • Original Notice of Loss or Damage if residence delivery. (Payment to Hauler can not be made until the Notice of Loss or Damage at delivery is submitted).
  • Weight Tickets.
